We are growing at a fast pace

Our headcount doubled over the last year and will continue to do so. We build technology, that can scale with these ambitious growth plans and can serve as growth driver itself: We want to digitize the process of selling and buying properties to be able to provide a growing customer base with a seamless experience.

We are in a tough race against our competitors - and the winner will take most. This requires creative teams to come up with innovative offerings and technology that can serve these product requirements. Our aim is to be the thought leader of the market, shaping the image of the modern real estate agent.

We master large amounts of data

Our best products differentiate us from our competitors because they are data-based. An example is the Price Atlas, a tool to increase price transparency in the German real estate market. We want to continue utilizing the potential of our data and change the real estate market by providing data-based innovations.

We value your opinion and trust you

At Homeday all levels collaborate. If you have an idea and think our management or any colleague should hear about it, they will always make time for that. Also, we are working in interdisciplinary scrum squads to mix opinions and get the best outcome. If you want to hear some of our voices, check out our Medium blog.

We create space to try out ideas

Every quarter the entire product-engineering team spends one week trying out new things. You can follow up on your own ideas, e.g. explore new technologies or products that contribute in any way to the company. Our immobilienscout gem for example was built during that time, and also this text was written then by two colleagues to convince you to become the next new Homie.

We invest in good code

We do not only want to fulfill product specs, but create good maintainable code. Therefore we assign 20% of our time to technical debt to make sure our code base continuously improves and stays up-to-date for future needs. Also, to follow up on purely technical topics, we regularly meet to identify new problems and set measurable tech goals to tackle them in the next quarter.

We want to use the tech stacks that fit our tasks best

We are not limited to one technology. Instead we choose what works best for our problems. To learn about new solutions we go to conferences, for example we’ve been at Ruby Unconf Hamburg to talk about our Price Atlas. Some of us even organize conferences, like Laura, who’s co-organizer of the RubyConf Colombia. As an engineer at Homeday, you can lead your field of expertise.

    First of all, you send us your application documents electronically via our application portal.

    Interview via video or phone

    Next, we'll invite you to a video or phone interview. It is not yet a matter of technical content, but only a first impression.

    Personal interview(s) on site

    That’s when we get to know each other better, either in our office in Cologne or Berlin, in an extended video call (or onsite if possible) where you will meet the team and convince us of your skills.

    We send you an offer

    If it all fits together, we'll send you an contract offer. Welcome to our Homeday team!

    Your first days at Homeday

    The first days are always exciting. But no worries, we’ll make sure that you have a smooth start. On your first two days you will learn everything about Homeday and meet your new colleagues.
